• Hi all,

    After reading many posts here I decided to give Page-Links-To a try and it works almost perfect (it takes the www. part out from the external address so is not usefull sometimes) but I need something else. With the style I’m using, I ha ve a tiny nav bar and a huge categories bar and I need to place a link to my forums that people can easily locate (again, in the categories bar). Is there any way to do this?

    Developing is still off-line so I have nothing to show to you sorry.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Can you make a screenshot and send us a link to that?

    Hi lokrin2000,

    Sure, you can find a SS that will give you the idea of what I’m after. The “Foro” (Spanish for Forum) is created in the top nav-bar but I need it in big in the lower categories bar… as it is the main feature of the site:

    Screen Shot

    Do you (or anyone else) think that’s possible?

    Thanks again!

    I just made this plugin to redirect any category to any URL that you want. So you could make the “ghost” category and add the real URL of the category inside the plugin. So:

    Ghost Category —> Forum URL
    Ghost Category —-> https://website1.com

    Is this what you are looking for?

    Excellent redsoxmaniac… it ould be just what I need and I’m sure I’m not the only one. There’s just one small problem. After installation, I try to open the plugin’s options in WP admin panel and there’s an error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in D:\xampp3\xampp\htdocs\wp02\wp-content\plugins\category_redirect\cat_form.php on line 86

    I’ve read your code over and over again and I just can’t find anything wrong with it. Everything opens and closes just fine… what can it be?

    Thanks!!!

    Updated with 3.0 support, there were some missing php’s next to the <?’s. Didn’t follow rules very well. Redsoxmaniac was able to find the codex issues, and we tagged teamed it.
