“getting your site” but nothing happens

  • As recommended, I set up a staging site and ran the plugin. It tells me “getting your site” for more than one hour already. I don’t think it is doing anything because my server load is not a tiny bit higher than usual.
    How can I give more than zero stars for nothing? An error message or a progress bar would be the minimum that I expected.

    @volkerforster I’m so sorry to hear that the plugin isn’t working for you. Getting your site should only take a few seconds, so it sounds like there’s definitely something going wrong. We’d be happy to work with you to get more information and see if we can troubleshoot the issue and get it working.

    If you’re able could you take a look at the browser console to see if you see any errors there? That will give us a hint at what might be going wrong. I found some nice instructions for doing that here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/
