• This is really weird and a tad worrisome; so when I write a post, and use WordPress SEO editor, I get the green light just fine. But now whenever I look at any of my blog posts (when not editing) I get a yellow light. Why would there be a discrepant between edit mode and viewing my blog?

And the same time this happens, I notice I don’t see a google page rank when I use the page rank extension on my chrome browser.

It used to be 2 and now I just get a question mark.

One thing which also needs to be noted, is that when I discovered this yesterday but my hosting was slow as all get out for about an hour or so. Any ideas on how to fix and if this is related?

  • IMO, WordPress SEO plugin does little towards the Google PR that is a combination of many factors, primarily, your content and the visitors to your content. Of course, hosting is one of them. A good, fast web host can help rank higher to some extend too.

Okay, I’m just baffled because my search results are good, google is indexing me reasonably fast and I’m actually more traffic this month than I have in awhile and have some quality sites linking to me.

And what do you make of the green light being on when I’m editing on the backend but when I’m looking at posts on the front end it turns to yellow?

I haven’t updated anything recently. I’m about ready to kick hostgator to the curb though. Ever since they moved me to a new server I’ve had periods of slow loading, primality late at night. But it loads quickly for the most part during the day.
