Every few weeks I get a WF Security Alert sent to my personal email address from a website that I have never been associated with. I am using WF on a site I manage, but that site uses a different email address, independent from my personal email. There is a link at the bottom to “Click here to stop receiving security alerts,” but that leads to a login screen, an obvious dead end. How do I get this to stop?

The email provides the following information…

This email was sent from your website “PEWNY – DEVELOPERSKA” by the Wordfence plugin at Wednesday 13th of January 2021 at 01:00:22 PM
The Wordfence administrative URL for this site is: https://pewny.prod-tes.pl/wp-admin/admin.php?page=Wordfence
A user with username “TeosTo@0115” who has administrator access signed in to your WordPress site.
    User IP: 85.198.226.210
    User hostname: host-55C6E2d2.sileman.net.pl
    User location: Bytom, Poland

Hi @tjpa, thanks for reaching out to us with this issue.

As the site URL provided seems to be hidden behind an additional authentication wall, does the same thing appear when attempting to access the “…stop receiving security alerts” link too?

I recommend contacting the hosts at https://thecamels.org/en/ for this domain to state that you wish to be removed from the WordPress installation in case they are able to contact the site owner or action anything themselves. This action may also help flag with them if this site is not legitimate in any way. Until then, set up an email filter to redirect the emails from this site to another folder if you no longer wish to see them pop up regularly in your inbox.

We cannot access WordPress installations to make these changes for you as the data is stored in local databases for the individual sites the plugin is installed on.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
