Hello Robin. Your plugin is great, but I’ve just hit a snag. I have the plugin installed on two sites, both with identical hosting and architecture. On one, the links are all pointing to the Amazon UK store (which is right), but on the other they’re coming up with US links. I’m completely flummoxed! I’ve tried using different computers, browsers, etc, but it doesn’t make any difference. Do you know of anything that would make the plugin think I’m coming from the US? Many thanks for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The first place I would look would be the Geolocation IP Detection plugin, since Amazon links rely on that for country detection. Is that installed, enabled, and working?

You can test it by going to Tools->Geolocation Lookup.

Adding the locallinks_cc=gb GET parameter overrides the country detection and allows you to specify a given country for testing. So, for instance, your link becomes https://catherinepope.com/kit-list/?locallinks_cc=gb. Using that link, the Amazon links point to amazon.co.uk, so I’m fairly sure it’s something to do with the Geolocation IP Detection plugin.

Many thanks indeed for your speedy response, Robin.

Yes, the Geolocation IP Detection plugin is definitely installed and enabled. I tested it as you suggested and the response came back NULL.

On my other site, which is configured in exactly the same way, it’s working fine!

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling it, but that didn’t make any difference. I’ll keep fiddling and see if I can trick it into working.

    Thanks again for your help.

Update: I installed Maxmind GeoIP Lite City as the data source and that works fine. Thanks again for your help and for such a great plugin.
