Getting to admin screen on WordPress 2.9.2

Hi folks

I am trying to help a friend with her site, but the standard https://www.yoursite.com/wp-login.php is getting us to the dashboard screen – there is no way of getting to the main admin screen.

The screen we get is shown at https://www.awake.com.au/wordpress.jpg

I know it’s an old version but I’m not sure how to update the version without getting to the admin panel for a start.

Any ideas? Thanks
