I have tested the plugin on 4.5.1 without any issues, and I haven’t had any other user reports of problems, so there must be something unique there causing the problem.

Can you check your PHP error logs on the server to see if that sheds any light on what happened?

I submitted an offer on your site and used Firebug to see what happened. It’s coming back with a 500 Internal Server Error in admin-ajax.php, so yeah, you should be able to see that actual error in your PHP error log.

Thanks. Now if I could just figure out why I’m not getting anything in my PHP error log….

    Hi please help me,

on the shoppers front end i get this message when the shopper tries to make an offer for a product: Error: There was an error sending your offer, please try again. If this problem persists, please contact us.

However I still do receive the offer on my administration back end.

Please advise what do i do.

my wordpress version is 4.5.2 and i am using the latest version of storefront theme.

    my website is libelleliving.com
    email: [email protected], [email protected]

PS: my website is currently in the under-construction mode, because of this issue. So you may not be able to access it.
If i do not know how to resolve it I may have to deactivate this plugin, in order to go live.

    Please advise.

@skhanna, It sounds like there must be some sort of a jQuery / CSS conflict happening with another plugin or with the theme. I don’t see any products with offers enabled so I can’t attempt to troubleshoot.

I would try disabling other plugins temporarily and switching to one of the basic themes to see if the issue goes away. If so, then re-enable each one-at-a-time until the problem comes back so we’ll know the culprit. At that point we could troubleshoot more in depth.

@angelleye.I can activate the plugin if you can help me…that would be really helpful…I have tried disabling the plugins in the past..that is not necessarily the most optimum resolution because all the data, styling and customisation get messed up in the process…. It would really help if you could please provide me with another alternative….awaiting in anticipation

Yes, it’s always best to test that sort of thing and disable plugins, themes, etc. on a staging copy of your site.

If you don’t already have something like that setup you could probably do it pretty easily through your hosting account control panel, or if you contact your host they may even set it up for you free of charge. Just depends on the host.

Then you could test different things without worry of messing up the live site, and we could only adjust the live site once we find the issue and get it resolved.

I understand what your saying. But was hoping if there was a better and easier way to go about this. Unfortunately I am still in a rut with this issue. But anyways thank you for your time and understanding.

When working with WordPress and a collection of themes / plugins this sort of thing can be common, and the way to troubleshoot it is as I explained.

The staging server would be a good thing to get setup for now as well as after this is done. Any time you ever need to test anything at all (ie. install a new plugin, make changes to the theme, etc.) you can do it in staging prior to the live site so that you never screw up the live site at all.

It’s a highly recommended practice to get into in general, and again, that’s the way you’re going to find this problem.

Another option might be to check the PHP error logs on your server to see if there are errors there that shed any light on this issue.

It has to be something unique going on there, though, because I cannot reproduce the problem and I have not had any other reports of this.

I understand what your saying. Thank you.

I updated all plugins again and WP to 4.5.2 and it seems to have fixed everything.

    Glad to hear it!

Sorry to jump in on this somewhat late, but I was having the same issue in Firefox (Mac) and Chrome (Mac) but not Safari. Turned off All In One WP Security and it worked, so there’s something in there, I’m assuming. Current versions of everything on the WP and browser side, BTW…

@cbh, so you’re saying that with All in One WP Security enabled the offers do not work?

Are there any logs or anything the security plugin provides telling you it blocked something?

    Hi there.

I didn’t check the logs, and have removed the plugin as it was creating problems with some other site functions as well. I was surprised, because All in One works fine with other WP sites here, and am wondering if it may have been a combination of factors and not just All in One. This particular site – blog.chrishutcheson.com – uses the DIVI theme from Elegant Themes, and it’s a bit of a handful itself. The problem recurred with basic WP themes as well.

I’ve since removed a number of other inactive plugins and will try reinstalling All in One to see if I can duplicate the problem. I’ll keep you posted.

    Cheers
    Chris
