Getting theme to load

  • I can’t figure out what version I have … I don’t know which file to get information on. Sorry. Recently downloaded in the last 2 weeks.

    I have placed my wordpress files in a folder called “blog” on my web site. I have created the config file. When I go to the we-login.php file and log in I get a 404 error, and the url is *outside* the blog folder in the main web site.

    I bought De Freitas’s book, “Does this Blogsite make my wallet look fat?” and followed her instructions, but this doesn’t seem to be working. She says that I can have my blog in a separate folder on my site.

    Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

    You didn’t. Not all for sure. By a quick check I can tell some files are missing:
    no index.php in the root
    nothing in the wp-content/ folder (where your themes and plugins should be)
