• Hello – I may have posted my issue in the wrong area but could really use some help here.

Love the plug-ins promise and want to use it on a couple of my clients sites.

I think I have everything setup correctly and have worked on this for a while – in the logs it seems that my Paypal sandbox account can not recognize the response from siteground –

Can you please let me know if you are able to help debug this with me?

    Thank you

Well, if the PayPal sandbox account can’t recognize the response from Siteground, that’s probably your problem. Are you getting a green compatibility notice on your PayPal settings section of Seamless Donations or are you getting red warnings?

Thank you so much for answering me. I have spent much time with siteground and they say it is the plugin’s problem.

I have the green thumbs up message.

I gave them admin rights to the site and paypal sandbox accounts along with a cut and paste of log issues – this is their last response:

    Hello,

I have checked the case and I was not able to see any errors which should be deemed as a server side error during my tests.

It seems that following your steps indeed the process seems to go trough but no payment is detected from the application:

I have checked and the ipns URL is reachable from the outside world:

    https://geopeeker.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgorgecf.org%2Fwp-content%2Fplugins%2Fseamless-donations%2Fpay%2Fpaypalstd%2Fipn.php

I would suggest to consult either your sites developer or a fellow developer on the issue for further assistance.

If it is a server side issue we would gladly assist as long as the actions we need to perform are within the allowed alterations which we can make for our shared servers.

And not sure what you mean when you say it is my problem – do you think I don’t have the settings correct? I have tested – retested and tried just about every thing I can think of and would really appreciate all and any help.

I am not super good at deciphering the logs.

    Thanks again.

Usually, the best approach is to examine your log. To make things easier, I recommend going to your Settings tab in the Seamless Donations dashboard and make sure Debug Mode is turned off/unchecked (it’s near the bottom of the tab). Debug Mode sends a tremendous amount of information that is only needed in rare cases.

Then go to the Log tab in the Seamless Donations dashboard, clearing the log, then doing exactly one donation cycle through to PayPal and back to when you get the “Thank you for your donation notice”, then go back to the Log tab, copy it, and then send it to me via https://zatzlabs.com/contact-us/ .

I’ll take a look and see what it tells us.
