Getting Started – Understanding Shortcode

  • Greetings Everyone –

    I’m not sure how to actually get started with this plug-in. I downloaded, installed and activated. I tried putting {print-me] on one of my pages, but no icon appears, or anything else that would indicate the ability to print the page.

    Next, I copied and pasted [print-me target=”div#id_of_element_to_print” title=”Print Form”] from the text file inside the plug-in folder on my control panel, and “Print Form” shows up as a link where I placed it on the page, but no printer icon. AND, when you click the link my print options open, but the document is blank.

    I’m sure this is VERY simple, but I’d sure appreciate some help figuring out what I have overlooked. I am still VERY new, and this is my first website, so I appreciate your spirit of charity.

    Following up to my earlier request… I can now get the printer icon to appear, and bring up the print menu on most pages – EXCEPT those utilizing the “Contact Form 7” plugin. Any thoughts?
