When installing Creative Mail 1.6.2 in WordPress 6.1 we are running into an error after activating the plugin.

From WP Admin Dashboard, Creative Mail, “I Agree and let’s get started” button in fails to launch the Creative Mail setup, instead it returns to the same WP Admin Dashboard, Creative Mail screen.

We have tested this across multiple sites, computers, and browsers. We have also deactivated all plugins, then reactived just Creative Mail and gotten the same error.

Creative Mail support was unable to identify any cause, suggesting we contact WordPress Support.

There is a warning message on the description tab for the plugin “Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.”

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you for your help!

  • Hi! I have the same situation.

I contacted with them too, they asked me about the OS and browser, and still waiting for a solution.

I tested with different computers, internet connections, browsers, and os. No more replies received.

I think that is more related with their service that tries to stablish a connection but fails for any reason.

    Waiting for a fix.

    Hi Sergio,
Thanks for your reply! I have seen a closed thread in this support forum from 2 years ago where people had a similar issue (search get started intext:"Plugin: Creative Mail – Easier WordPress & WooCommerce Email Marketing").
It seems like WordPress 6.1 released 11/1/22 and the Creative Mail 1.6.2 released last week may have a conflict with eachother or some other plugins.
Hope to find a resolution soon!

Sorry to hear this is happening. We have released a new plugin version this morning. Feel free to update to version 1.6.3 and let us know if you continue experiencing any issues.

Hi! thank you for your help.

I updated the plugin, now is opened new tab with a blank page and this message:

    {“type”:”https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7235#section-3.1″,”title”:”Unauthorized”,”status”:401,”traceId”:”|81ceed35-4b404837444b1084.”}

The original tab is refreshed, and stay in same situation, nothing changes.

Can you check it? thank you for your efforts.

Hi @brian212 . I contacted by email several times, but just one our before I get a reply from them asking for credentials to check directly my website, so I expect that I will have the fix soon ??

Thank you so much for the link, so I have another way to contact them in case I don’t receive new replies.

I never used creative mail, but after checking screenshots I think that can be great solution. I can’t wait to get fixed and use it.

    thanks!

I created an account, but when trying to link the account to my wordpress it says an error occured when trying to login.

Hi! anyone here can share how you fix it? The support is telling me this:

“The reason for this error is that when your WordPress site calls CreativeMail app, it is omitting a security header that we expect. This generally happens when one of the installed plugins gin (specifically a firewall or anti-virus plugin suppresses headers). Whitelisting CreativeMail URLs on these plugins solves the issue.”

But I don’t have any security plugin installed in the website, servero or cloudflare.

I am thinking if maybe can be related with nginx server.

I am asking here because the constant contact support needs at least one week by each email to reply me.

    Any idea?

    thanks
