Hi @calypso88
I hope you’re well today!
Just to make sure: you can confirm for sure that these are spam submissions of Forminator form and not a spam coming through some other forms on site or directly to e-mail, right?
Assuming that reCaptcha is actually working (you can take a look into browser console to see if there are any errors and also check stats at reCaptcha console/dashboard at Gogole – where you’ve taken keys from) then it might be needed to add some additional precautions.
Unfortunately no solution is 100% “bulletproof” so in some cases honeypot alone does the job well (up to some point at least) and in some there’s always some amount of spam passing through. That mostly depends on the bots that are targeting the site.
That said, Forminator has also built-in integrations with
– Akismet
If you are using the Akismet plugin on your site, you can enable this option, and select to either fail any submissions that Akismet detects as spam, or simply mark them as spam. Selecting the Fail Submissions option would display a customizable message to the user, and Mark as Spam would log them in your database but they would not appear in your Submissions list. You can enable this on “Behavior” settings page of the form.
– CleanTalk AntiSpam plugin
You’ll find more information about it in this setup guide https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#cleantalk-anti-spam
Kind regards,
Adam
