  • Hello,
I believe I know what is happening, are you using a caching plugin?
I visited your site and tested the forms on your contact us page page and on the become a partner page, and both CAPTCHA’s appeared to function correctly.

I believe the issue you are having is that the answer for the CAPTCHA is the first option and the caching plugin has cached that positioning, so whenever you reload the page, the image you need to select is always the same and that image is also the first option. When bots target forms, they usually go for the first option.

The free version of the plugin does not have ajax loading, so the the quickest solution is to clear your cache and make sure that the first option is not the correct response.
You can also upgrade to the pro version of the plugin which does have ajax loading to prevent it from being cached.

I might look into a future update for the free version to make it so the answer is never the first option, but I won’t be able to update that for a while.

I have implemented on my 5-6 websites I currently get spam where correct captcha option is not on first place.

    https://www.dnacenter.in/contact-us/

Do you know if when you received spam on that form, if the correct option was in the second position?

There is a chance that the cache may have updated for that site and the correct option changed positions since you last received spam on that form.

It also sounds like the bots are bypassing the honeypot fields, I will have to look into improving those.

I have discovered that the plugin does not work on sites running older versions of PHP (versions 5.x.x), could you tell me what version you are running?
If they are not version 7, then that is the problem.
I am going to be working on backwards compatibility with php 5.

    Hello Kyle,

I’ve also been struggling with increased SPAM lately.
What do I have to set where with the CachePlugin WP Fastest Cache so that it works?
Excluding the page completely from the cache is not a solution. Especially when there are more pages that use a form.

I hope you have a solution or a guide for that.

    Thanks
    Tilo

    Hi,
What is most likely happening is that the answer to the captcha is cached in the first position and the bots almost always target the first radio button, the solution is to clear you cache and double check that the answer is not the first option.

Alternatively the pro version of the plugin was built to not be affected by caching plugins through its ajax lazy load feature.
