Getting “”Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.”
-
Getting error from Elementor “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”
This occurs from the dashboard when trying to “Edit the page with Elementor”.
Page displys fine from front end the page has a sidebar which is checked to be off.
There is a special page at https://docs.elementor.com/article/56-content-area-not-found?utm_source=editor-panel&utm_medium=wp-dash&utm_campaign=learn with an explaination but I am not a programmer.
If I turn the plugin off, I do not get an error and can open with Elementor and see the code pasted in. My theme is GeneratePress free version. Changing to 2017 has no impact. Same problem. Deactiving the plugin avoids the message but of course now it won’t work.
I’m wondering if the code goes somewhere in the file wp-links-page-free.php.
Can someone advise or help?
