Getting rid of widgets on my blog page.

well i assume you have your widget areas empty, if so, open sidebar.php and look for

<?php if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar("Sidebar") ) : ?>

	<?php endif; ?>

and delete whats inside this conditional comment, whats inside are default “widgets” or stuff that the theme developer adds

open your wordpress instalation, navigate to wp-content, themes, and open the theme you are using, you’ll see sidebar.php there

No good i can’t even find wp-content !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is your site hosted? Acess via ftp and navigate to public_html or www or htdocs (depends on host provider), look in those folders for your wordpress instalation

I have looked at all of my programs and cannot find my wordpress instalation. I paid a company to build the site for me initially, could this be why i cannot find my instalation of wordpress as i do not have it instaled.

Ohh i see, well wordpress is a server script, so its installed in a webserver, did the company provided you with access information? Like ftp server, etc.
