Getting rid of the blog option on front of web page

Go to admin Dashboard >> Pages.
Select All at the top of the listings.
Bulk Actions >> Edit >> Apply
When the options box appears, choose Comments >> Do Not Allow
If you have more than one admin-page of listed pages, you’ll need to do it for the rest of the admin-pages of listings too.

But have just noticed that the front page has the words previous post on it now – how do I get rid of that?

I delet all the crap and create a new page called home and go from there.
