Getting rid of “Search box”, “Categories” and Archives sidebar

  • Hello,

    On my site, the right sidebar appears to have a “Search box”, below the search box it says “Categories” and “archives”. I wanted to know what I would need to do to get rid of each of things. Thanks

  • Go to

    Dashboard –> Appearance –> Widgets

    You can remove them.

    I went to Dashboard –> Appearance –> Widgets but I cant figure out what I need to do to actually remove the “Search box”, “Categories” and “archives”. nothing that I did worked. Can you tell me what I need to do when I go to Dashboard –> Appearance –> Widgets to remove them. Thanks

    Just placing the Blank Text Widget instead of other Widgets under the available Widget area will remove them from there.

    This will help you to figure it out and resolve the issue(s).
