Getting Recent Posts widget to only show posts from 1 Category

Hi guys..

Yes.. me again with yet another question.

On my site, https://www.rofljock.com, my recent posts widget is on the right hand side.. it’s actually titled “headlines” but it does what the recent posts widget should do. The type is set to ‘postbypost’ but I want it to only show postbypost out of one specific category. Is that possible?

I want it to do that because, my co authors are going to be publishing articles but we don’t want it to show up on the ‘recent posts’ widget.

So for example,

Author A posts an article and puts it in a category that is NOT the default category. The article still shows up under recent posts widget.

We want recent posts to only reflect recent posts submitted under 1 category instead of ALL recent posts ever submitted to the site.

Any suggestion is helpful. Thank you in advance.
