Getting Random Pop ups I didn’t create

  • Not sure what is going on, as I am Getting Random Pop ups I didn’t create. I only have created 1 popup and it shows but then I am getting 2 other pop ups that say “See how this website make 35K per year” and another small pop up at the bottom that says “take 20% off next purchase. I never created these and the only pop up that shows on the back end is mine. Any ideas, very frustrating

    To clarify, I am looking at my website pop ups in a private browser so it shouldn’t be a caching issue.

    Ok now I see under “Messages” for some idiotic reason IceGram decided to create pre made messages for me, gee wiz thanks IceGram for the unexpected pop ups. Now even after I delete them they are still showing in a private browser. What is going on?

    Sorry for all the threads but I’m having multiple issues, now when I try to choose a design template it says “The link you followed has expired. Try again” and it won’t allow me to choose any templates.

    Hi @omg1,

    Apologies for the unpleasant experience with the onboarding.
    Basically, whenever the plugin is installed for the first time, the plugin creates a default Icegram campaign with some messages embedded in it but it is in Draft status. So, until it is published it won’t show up on your site.

    Can you let us know if the popups still show up even after updating the campaign after you deleted the other messages because it should not?
    If the issue is still there, please contact us here and we will take a look into the issue.

    Yes it was still happening even after I deleted the messages and even after I cleared out the trash. I was checking on a private browser so caching should not have been an issue.

    I really think adding those pre made messages is a terrible idea, I’m a seasoned web designer and it took me a long time to find out what was going on. I’m sure you want to show people what is possible w/ your pop ups but that is what your templates are for. I unfortunately won’t be using your plugin any longer.

    Sorry for this trouble.

    We have created a pre-made campaign but these templates are in draft and unless they publish they will not show on the site.

    I would request you to try this once again.

    Regarding trashed campaigns still showing on site, it seems that caching may cause that.

    So you may try the “Cache friendly” option in Icegram > Settings menu.
