Getting pictures to show in static page recent blog posts section

    I am using the twenty seventeen theme (which is outstanding by the way!) and I am a newbie (sorry) but I can’t seem to get pictures that are embedded in my blog posts to appear in the static home page section for recent blog posts. The posts appear but the embedded pictures seen to be stripped out. Is there something silly I’m missing or will this require something more elaborate like a child theme? ??

    Any pointing in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    I figured it out today by hunting around the interwebs and basically creating a child theme and changing this 1 line in my /wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen-child/template-parts/page/content-front-page-panels.php file

    //get_template_part( ‘template-parts/post/content’, ‘excerpt’ );
    get_template_part( ‘template-parts/post/content’);

    ??
