Getting my blog posts seperated into drop down pages

I really am sorry if this has been answered somehow. I need a bit more of a barney style explanation of how to get this to work. I am building my website at this temporary location https://48b.5a3.myftpupload.com
I have gone, for example, to my ‘wine learning’ page (under the blog button drop down) and tried adding the catlist code in the editing box where I’d otherwise type copy and add pictures. I tried doing these two things, separately, and neither worked. My blog category for wine is id=19 and for beer it is id=1. However, all my posts still show up on the learning wine drop down. I only want the posts in each category on their respective drop down pages.

[catlist name=wine-beer]I really do appreciate any help. I’m new to all of this so I’m on a steep learning curve as to how to use code.
