getting lots of false positives

First of all I’d like to mention that I’m an absolute beginner, when it comes to wp and this is my first site (it’s not even online yet, it’s in private mode). I installes broken link checker and I am getting a high number of positives, but when I click the links they work fine, they also work, when I copy paste the exact link adress out of the link into my browser.
I first thought it might be due to the pages being set to private mode, but even after I included those pages in the options menu of broken links checker nothing changed (I had the plugin recheck the links and even had it read the whole site again).
On problem might be that I am using a domain containing an umlaut, so the domain name is something like rübezahl.eu, which is by default something like xn--rbezahl-7ob.eu in the wordpress adress tab. The titel of the page is with the umlaut. The website adress is also with umlaut https://rübezahl.eu (just an example, i don’t own that site).
Since I don’t want to cause any troubles for users I am using the clean umlauts plugin, which converts all permalinks with umlauts to their respective alternative, which is something like rübezahl.eu/rueben.
Now broken link checker throws a lot of 402 errors at me (all internal links), but all of those links work fine, no matter how i access them, can you tell me what I am doing wrong and what I can do to gget rid of the false positives (are they even false positives? Afaik they should be when the links work when I click or insert them, but since I am a complete noob I don’t know for sure).
