Getting live table from excel

    Hello!
    Is it possible to link excel sheet with a table and have it update automatically? I tried the link option but it didnt update, i might have missed a step or two. Any advice/help is greatly appriciated

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    When you create a table linked to an Excel or a CSV file, the plugin actually creates an exact copy of that file in ../wp-content/uploads/YEAR/MONTH/ folder (the year/month is the year and the month when the file was uploaded).

    If you were to modify the file in that location, wpDataTables will pick up those changes. Just bear in mind not to change the structure of the file, so adding, removing, renaming, or rearranging the source file will most likely cause the wpDataTable to break.
