Something I’ve never quite understood about WordPress is what is the best way for clients to get images online that they can use in their websites?

Personally I would FTP them up to the web and then link to them, but for clients I would prefer if they didn’t have to use an FTP clients as not everyone would be comfortable with that. So what other way is there for clients with little technical knowledge to get images online so they can use them without asking for help from me?

  • The built in WP image system includes uploading.

I find non-technical people at times confused by it.

Sometimes I suggest using Flickr or Photobucket, both of which supply URL’s at different image sizes which the client can then copy and paste into the WP image dialog. That is pretty much a no-brainer – the upload to either of those sites is simple.

That’s a good idea. Thanks for your reply.

WOrdpress itself provides you the build in uploading tool. You can add your client as a user and they can upload images to wordpress.
