    Hi

Everything is updated to the latest updates.

I am getting hit by HUGE amounts of credit card numbers testing fraud (1/s), all coming from different ip addresses. Once all addresses exhausted, they wait and then come back again, and again.

Just trying to find out what other people do in this case.

I checked the Internet, but one sentence worries me: “The sickest part is that this type of WooCommerce fraud is almost impossible to avoid.”

Looking at “plugins” there is not much on offer that can deal with this problem.

Are there other forums I can read/subscribe/goto to see better options to solve this?

    Thanks for your advice.

    Hi there,

If your site is being targeted, one good step is to install a security plugin to prevent attacks/malware/etc.

In this case for credit card fraud, a good option for preventing automated attacks at Checkout would be to install a plugin like ReCaptcha for WooCommerce so that they require human intervention and can’t be automated by bots. WooCommerce Anti-Fraud can also help to make sure fraudulent transactions don’t go through or at least get flagged.

Another option would be to require that customers on the site have an account to place an order (settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy), however that then removes the convenience provided by accepting Guest Checkout.

    Hi @jobst,

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. Hopefully, the above info was helpful and you were able to find a solution to your problem!

If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.

    Thanks.

We are having the same issue on our site. Someone submitted 15,000 credit card numbers for the same order and ended up getting us blocked by our merchant. This seems like something that should be preventable without having to buy another plugin, but I guess not.
