    Hi,

I always get an x-litespeed-cache miss (GtMetrix) on first load even with Guest Mode On which from what I read I understand will always give a hit.

    My site is https://www.flukyfabrics.com

This is what I get on waterfall (Gt metrix) on first load, second load is always a hit
    x-litespeed-cache miss
    x-litespeed-cache-control public,max-age=604800`

From following your page’s instructions I understood I had to turn on Guest Mode without other changes in order to get a hit on first load, am I missing something?

If I didn’t understand correctly and Guest Mode On doesn’t guarantee a hit on first load then how can I force a hit on first load always? There should be a way.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    I have looked that ticket

as it is explained in order to debugging an issue , the issue must be reproduced first, otherwise there is no way to debug it

by debug as analysis datas , informations , processes …etc , as what IS going WHEN that bug/issue HAPPENS

it’s just like you go to car repair facility , and says “my car makes weird sound when I march backward for parking” , but then the mechanician gets into your car , and tried ten times but didn’t hear any weird sound.

then how would you expect the him to fix an issue that he didn’t see ?

as last reply in that ticket mentions , if you can easily reproduce it from your side , you can coordinate the check with our staff to investigate the issue.

    Hi @qtwrk

Everytime I GT I get a miss on first test, if I GT every url on my shop one after the other I’m gonna get a miss on first test on all of them that’s for sure, doesn’t matter if I have that same page opened on another browser (so it’s warm and all which shouldn’t matter because I’m using guest mode as you know). So if you (he) GT a couple urls (not the same one please, pick any number of different urls/products) he/you will see all the misses, at any time of the day or night. We could do it together, there’s not gonna be any difference I’m not the one who can reproduce the misses, you know that I can’t influence in any way GT’s results, neither the way I click the “Test your site” button or the browser I use will make any difference on GT’s report.

Check (fresh and first try) you can see the miss on waterfall’s tab.
    https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.flukyfabrics.com/mqoFuWNa/

But here’s something new, at least for me, an hour ago or so, I cleared all cache and disabled the plugin, then I tested more than 30 urls, cats, products and all of them got hits on first test, full hits (except for /cart, /my-account, /checkout those got misses as expected).

So without the plugin I get full hits on first test, but if I change stocks on an already visited product the stocks are not updated, so even when I get full hits and all urls load at full speed without the plugin at least purge doesn’t work right. So I re-activated the plugin again immedately.

Then, if I want to use my litespeedserver host I need the plugin, and it has to be this one since I can’t find another for litespeed cache.

I hope that this new information (full hits without the plugin) can help in some way.

Thank you @qtwrk and sorry for all the annoyance.

    Best regards

    Hi,

okay , let me get clear on this

for the very first access, it’s normal if miss , you need to crawler to pre-cache the pages

but besides that , your issue is the cache doesn’t stay alive for long time ?

it will be purged in very short time , and this happens on any page (maybe not homepage ?)

    —–

if you disabled plugin , how did you make cache ? the caching should be deactivated alone with plugin.

yeah , I would suggest you can coordinate a check with us, and with real-time communication , the issue could be explained more clear.

please reply the ticket mail for time you are convenient.

    Hi,

Yes, that’s why I state that even if I have open/crawl (not admin) the page I check at the same time/during the test it gives a miss (I understand that’s pre-cache even if it’s me and not the crawler who does it, please correct me if not).

I sent you the report, I haven’t change purge or any other settings.

No, cpanel has it’s own basic plugin which makes it work it’s called LiteSpeed Cache Management – WordPress Cache. This is how it looks: https://ibb.co/5kTQHbZ

Here you can read more about it (learn more link on the image):

    https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php/litespeed_wiki:cpanel:cpanel-plugin#litespeed_cache_management_-_wordpress_cache

May be a conflict between cpanel’s and yours?, I was sure you were aware of this since it seems to be an extention of it. If I disable cpanel’s plugin your plugin gets automatically deactivated on my website too, but if I disable your plugin cpanel’s plugin keeps on caching and giving full GT first test hits.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

no , that cPanel cache manager just installs or uninstalls the plugin for you to your WP site(s)

eventually it needs plugin to do the caching

I will have that ticket looked again.

    Hi @qtwrk

I got the reports and understood that my site’s cache it’s performing as it should and that the frequency with which the plugin crawlers run it’s the only thing that could ensure a hit in each test.

Thanks for all your help @qtwrk

    Best Regards,
