    After upgrading to 2.7 I am getting the following error

    “Fatal error: Call to undefined function the_content_limit() in /home/public_html/wp-content/themes/THEME/home.php on line 50”

    That line in the theme is:

    <?php the_content_limit(245, ""); ?>

    Any ideas??

  • thats something from one of the revolution themes? or a plugin?

    just to clarify.

    when you activate whatever plugin or upload whatever file is responsible for defining that function, the error will go away.

    no not a revolution theme…but all I know is it worked fine before upgrading and now its not working. I didn’t touch the theme. That led me to believe it has something to do with wordpress. Whoever this problem is attributed to, I just want to know what the problem is.

    well wordpress doesnt use that function — so Im simply telling you that its not a wordpress issue.

    Did you disable your plugins before upgrading? it would make sense that you may need to re-activate any disabled plugins, wouldnt it? Or you might potentially see errors like that.

    well, right before I began writing to you to say, yes of course I have reactivated all plugins, I just double checked and lo and behold, somehow I hadn’t. my ignorance, and my apologies. thank you for making me look right beneath my nose.

    Im going to point out that if you are talking about this site:

    particulartastes.com

    that your upgrade wasnt complete. your feed is telling me that you still have 2.5 files on your site.

    Just an FYI –
