Getting error "You do not have permission to upload files to site"

  • When i use the network shared post plugin to user another users image, that is when i select other user image i am getting error
    “You do not have permission to upload files to site: ….”
    and i can see the error in chrome console (open Inspect Element)
    “…../wp-content/plugins/network-shared-media/media-upload.php?type=image&tab=library&post_id=0&blog_id=1 500 (Internal Server Error) “

    Anybody have a solution ?

    If the other user doesn’t have super admin privileges you will get that error. you must upload it to super admins site or a direct link to the persons image.

    @johnzenausa If you want to submit patches to the author or even submit your own plugin to the WordPress repo (it’s GPL’ed code after all) then please do so. Or if you want to share the code changes that you’ve made then that’s fine too and pastebin.com is good for that code.

    But please to not post that user’s should download your modified copy from your server.

    Okay, sorry. Am I allowed to have a url to the paste bin directory where the mods are made?

    Plus what would I have to do to make it my plugin?

    If it’s sufficiently different than the original plugin then you can submit it the repo with a new name and credit to the original plugin.
