Why is that? Is it maybe too big with 700mb?
    Normally it always worked fine!
I can copy paste it via ftp and filezilla..no problem, but not within the plug in anymore ??
    Thanks a lot ??

    Hi @serkankurnaz

Glad to hear you like our plugin and thanks for your support!

The plugin theoretically will work well with sites of any size as long as resources in the web server allow it.

Some specific configurations in a server can result in insufficient memory, which may cause errors when downloading backups.

Can you send us the debug zip from the plugin’s Debug tab to help identify the problem?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi @tonyrobins

I have just send you the debug report via SMTP.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi @serkankurnaz

The debug zip has been received with thanks! We’ll look into the issue soon.

At the same time, can you try this:

Go to the plugin Settings >> Advanced Settings >> try some lower values for “Compress Files Every” option >> Save changes. Then create a backup and download the files.

If that works, then it suggests the resources on your web server are not sufficient for the task to run. You’ll need to contact your web host or upgrade your web hosting.

    Hi @serkankurnaz

Sorry I should also have mentioned this: If you set the value to 0 MB, any backup files will not be split.

I thought you were using the default value since backups will be split every 200MB by default.

Please try something like 200MB, 100MB.

    Hi @tonyrobins

thanks a lot, but still not working ??

I never had any issues before, I could even download files over 700mb at once…so it can not be the splitting or my server ressouces, this should be more than fine. I have used the ur plug-in over a year now and all was good.
It has to be different reasonst, but which?

PS: When I install a new backup on a existing staging-site, will it “delete” already existing plug-ins also? Or will they just stay, eventhouhg they are not in the new backup? Thanks!

    The existing plugins will stay.

    Hi @serkankurnaz

After testing, we confirmed that the error was caused by insufficient memory on your server.
Under normal circumstances, forcing a download using readfile() will not present any memory issues, even when sending large files, on its own.(See official PHP doc)
But in your server environment, the memory is used a lot, so we have modified the memory limit for a download to 512MB so that the 200MB files can be downloaded successfully now.
