Thought everybody would like to see what Taco man has to say:
My notes:
1. this was a free plugin, not a premium one.
2. now they want money and will go in and install it (YOU CANT LOG INTO THE SITE ANYMORE so unless they plan on hacking it, wtf good would this do?)
3. Don’t you hate it when people like this put you in a bind with their bad product and then want to UP-SELL you? THIS IS NOT AN UP-SELL SITUATION DUDE. IT IS A “THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE AND YOU NEED TO PUT IT OUT SITUATION.”
Just ZERO accountability.
Here is what the plugin genius had to say:

Hi Christie,
Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately we haven’t been able to verify your license.
If you’ve already purchased WordPress SEO Premium, please send us your license key so we can verify it manually.
If you have not yet purchased the premium version of the plugin, which includes free support, and would like to do so, please refer to yoast.com.
If you are using our free plugin and have questions regarding WordPress SEO, we would refer you to the following 2 options:
Check out our extensive Knowledge Base
Visit the free forum
If, after checking the Knowledge Base and forum, you still believe you have a bug, you can file a bug report for the WordPress SEO plugin in the following GitHub repository: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide individual support for our free plugins, but I hope these suggestions are helpful.
Do you want us to set up your WordPress SEO for you?
Just order a (Gold or up) Website Review to learn more about SEO, have your website examined by SEO experts, get WordPress SEO Premium for free and have us set the plugin up for you!
