    Hi there,
I don’t why am i getting this error

Before you hit Publish, please refresh the following connection(s) to make sure we can Publicize your post:
    Refresh connection with Facebook

I refreshed the connection, according to the steps in your documentation, i.e disconnect, delete WordPress from Facebook Business, and reconnect.

But the error message persists. Twitter and Linkedin also report the same in the editing screen. But I disconnected them all to simplify testing.

In the JetPack Publicize configuration page, it clearly shows Facebook is Connected. The error only shows in the editing screen, when editing a post.

    Thank you.

  • Hi @armanism,

I’m unable to replicate this issue on my end. As a first troubleshooting step, would you please delete Jetpack and then reinstall it? You can follow these steps to do that:

    1. Start at Plugins → Installed Plugins.
    2. If Jetpack is currently active, click Deactivate to disable it. Then click Delete to remove it from your site:
    3. Go to Plugins → Add New.
    4. Search for “Jetpack by WordPress.com”.
    5. Click Install and then Activate.

When Jetpack is installed, click the green Set up Jetpack button to reconnect.

This handy guide explains that process in more detail:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing so, as that info is stored in our system here.

After reconnecting Jetpack, try recycling the Facebook, and other social media account connections next.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I am sorry I forgot to mention that I have already done this troubleshooting but still no luck.
Could you please check this further?
    Thanks

    Hi there

There appears to be an issue with your Jetpack connection, which may be due to your Cloudflare settings.

Can you make sure you have Cloudflare configured correctly for use with Jetpack, as explained in these two guides?

    https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/configure-jetpack-cloudflare/

    https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/218377098-WordPress-JetPack-and-Cloudflare

Once you’ve done that, you can check your Jetpack connection here:

    Hi Dan,
I have checked the documentation and followed as described and also, and I have whitelisted the IPs of the jetpack but the issue still persists.
Let me know what I need to do further
    Thanks

    Hi @armanism

I made a slight adjustment on our end. As a next step, please uninstall and reinstall Jetpack in order to cycle the connection.

Let us know once that is done and we can confirm Jetpack is connected properly.

    Hi there,
It’s wired. I have re-installed the jetpack plugin and even reconnection it from my Facebook page but still, the issue is the same.
    I don’t know what’s the issue.
    Thanks

Your Jetpack connection looks good now, so it’s likely that something else is conflicting here.

At this stage I would suggest deactivating all plugins except for Jetpack to see if that helps. If so, you can enable them again one by one until you find the one causing the issue.

I have tested deactivating all the plugins and themes but the issue still occurs. but as I checked on my Facebook page and all the posts have been shared so meaning sharing is working fine just showing a warning but never mind! leave that as it is. but I have one more problem on my Facebook page it is showing the content of the article instead of just the headline.
could you please check why it is happening?
    Thanks

    Check this screenshot

Hello, I confirm that jetpack indicates this message (it indicates to me: “Problem connecting to Facebook”) but continues to post on facebook a priori without worries. There is obviously a problem unrelated to the user (especially since I didn’t have this message just a few hours ago).

    best regards

edit: the message has just disappeared at 04:18 cet+2. mystery…but let’s hope it lasts!

    Hi @jetskun

In order to prevent a portion of the article text from showing on Facebook, you will want to define a custom message as shown here:

    Annotation on 2022 10 28 at 15 55 56

That text should then show instead.

    Hi there,
    Thanks for your message.
is there any way that by default it picks the article’s heading instead of the article’s body texts?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to do that at present.

You are welcome to make an enhancement request on our GitHub page:

    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/new?assignees=&labels=%5BType%5D+Enhancement&template=enhancement.yml&title=Enhancement%3A

Doing so will get the issue in front of our development team.
