Getting error Curl error 28 in WordPress

  • Hello,

    recently I have a problem with my WordPress website. Whenever I try to download or update a plugin I get this error:

    curl error 28: connection timed out after 10000

    I already tried to upload plugins manually, but this does not work either. Also downloading themes and uploading images does not work, since I get the same error.

    I tried:

    – To disable all plugins and themes, but the error is still there when all the plugins are deactivated

    – Tried Health Check, but this did not solve the problem either

    – Called my host, but they told me they could do nothing for me

    Since I am not very technical if found it very hard to find a solution on the internet. Is there someone on this forum who can help me to solve this issue?
