Hi again, Juaquim. First, we would absolutely welcome any contributions you wish to make to the WordPress community. I’d recommend you go to slack.wordpress.com & sign up for an account there. Once you do that, you can message anyone in the WordPress/slack community. Since I’m a part of that, if you ever got stuck or needed advice while contributing, feel free to hit me up & I’d do what I can to help. That way you wouldn’t feel like you were just out there by yourself. I know how scary that can feel. Truthfully, I’m actually pretty painfully introverted myself. My username is abletec. I really would be glad to assist in whatever ways you would find helpful. We’d love to have you aboard!
Please try this now. Using either your hosting provider’s file manager or an FTP client (hopefully secure FTP), rename your plugins folder by appending a 1 or a .old to the end of the folder name. Then please clear your browser cache, log into your dashboard, & try creating a new user. If that works, then we know there’s a plugin involved. The next step is to rename the plugins folder back to its original name, but go into the folder & rename all but 1 plugin folder, again by appending a 1 or a .old to the folder name. I suggest that Akismet is likely a good candidate to leave alone at this point, as it is written by core WordPress developers & thus should have maximum compatibility w/WordPress. Again, clear your browser cache, log into the site, & try to create a new user. You’ll continue this process of renaming plugins, clearing the cache, logging in, & creating a new user until you can’t create a user, at which point you know that the last plugin you renamed was the culprit.
Please let us know whether or not that helped. If not, we still have tricks up our sleeve, but let’s try this first & see where we are.
