Getting better, but still not ready. Released to core too soon.

  • The editor is slowly approaching a usable state and will surely be adopted by most in time, but it was released to core far too soon. Releasing it in what can only be described as an Alpha state was a huge error that only served to annoy and alienate a large percentage of the WP user base and their customers (as is quite apparent from these reviews). That alone deserves a 1 star rating. Future releases should be handled more carefully.

    There’s that double-edged sword in open source software development where, assuming you are working in the open, you are sharing a perpetual work in progress. I see your point about how it was initially received, though, and I appreciate your candor with this feedback.
