    Hi,

I have installed the plugin and put a caption but it didn’t display so I went in the settings and tried to check the display options (both were unchecked). I got the following error message when trying to save :

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in *name of my WP install*/wp-content/plugins/featured-image-caption/classes/Option.php on line 194

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in *name of my WP install*/wp-content/plugins/featured-image-caption/classes/Option.php on line 194

Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks for letting me know! This may be a bug in the plugin code. I’ll take a look at it and get back to you.

Was it a fresh install of the plugin, or did you upgrade the plugin from a previously installed version?

    It was a fresh install.

Ok, good to know. Can you copy and paste the debug info shown on the plugin options page?

    Sure thing :

    Plugin: 0.7.2
    WordPress: 4.2.2
    PHP: 5.4.4-14+deb7u12

    Theme
Name: OFE (this is a custom theme I built from the Enterprise Pro Theme based on the Genesis framework)

I found the problem causing the error and I’ve patched it. Version 0.8.0 which I just released contains the fix. Please update the plugin, and then deactivate and re-activate the plugin. That should fix the issue for you.
