Getting a widgetised Area Front Page No Code
-
Hi There,
Firstly I am a novice please be gentle with me :). A much more experienced person than me set up my website. I have downloaded OTW widgetised pages and sidebars plugin so that I can add content in columns and rows, through widgets eliminating the need to use code.
I wanted to have a widgetised area on my front page underneath the “Buttons” currently displayed there. However, the site has been built using code etc and therefor there is no “page” to build the widgetised content in, as you build it on the page or post content editor views.
With this in mind I created a post called “Widgetised area front page”, in the hope I would be able to feed the content of this post with all my lovely widgets, into the space on the front page described above full width. I don’t even know if this is the best way to go around this.
But if anybody could help with some code to put into the Main Index Page in Editor, to feed the “widgetised area front page” post full width into the space I want this would be great, as it would allow me to update front page content with widgets.
Hope I have articulated this problem concisely, I am just a humble scientist, trying to find simple work arounds.
Thanks in advance for any help
Anna
