• Hello!
After my hosting f*cked up, I had to restore my website from backup.
Database was imported successfully, website is running, ssl installed, permalinks (site.com/post-name) set. But the thing is, when I try to edit the front page it says ‘
Oops! That page can’t be found.’
I decided to create a new page as a frontpage with the same content (copy-paste)…And even the new page but with the same content after Publishing gives the same error ‘
Oops! That page can’t be found.’
?????? This have never occured to me.

Try re-saving your permalink structure at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.

It didn’t work. Any other ideas?

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Will re-make the site from scratch.

Weird, it didn’t help….I created a new database, created a completely new site (same domain, same hosting), added the same content on the page that gave me this error last time and now it’s again Oops! That page can’t be found.. By testing, I figured out that a specific part of text content gives this error, how it is possible????????

Oh that could be possible, it might be tripping on of your hosting provider’s mod_security rules. I recommend contacting their support about that.
