    I’ve been getting errors from SMTP.com related to email reporting using WP Mail SMTP.

    The notifications I’m getting are:
    “SMTP.com Notification – Push webhook errors rate is too high for this hour

    We have noticed unusually high rate of errors for your push notification webhook during this hour.

    The URL of your webhook is https://XXXXXX
    This is the list of error responses we got back from your webhook, when we tried to push a notification to you:
    <Response [403]>
    <Response [403]>
    <Response [403]>
    <Response [403]>
    <Response [403]>
    Please feel free to contact us if you want us to help us resolve this problem.”

    I started getting these error messages about a week after setting up reporting features. Emails sent out are still working correctly, but all reports have stopped working since these errors started.

    The webhook status still shows as subscribed under Settings > Email Log

    Hi @kyleruscigno,

    Thanks for reaching out! As a temporary solution, you can disable the Webhooks feature under the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings -> Email Log area (see https://a.supportally.com/uqi2ZP).

    When you unsubscribe that option, it will use another technology to verify your email deliverability.

    In the meantime, you can request your hosting support to whitelist the following IPs (Firewall or whichever security system they use).
    – 192.40.165.60
    – 192.40.165.61

    Once they confirm, you can try subscribing it again in the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings -> Email Log area and see if that resolves your issue.

    Also if you have a Pro license, please feel free to create a support ticket whenever you encounter an issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi Darshana,

    Thank you for following up. I’ve whitelisted the indicated IP’s and unsubscribed then resubscribed to webhooks following your recommendation. I will provide an update if the errors continue following that. I am unsure of what license type we have with the plugin as I am not the original maintainer, but once I find out I will look into opening a ticket with your support.

    After taking the steps suggested – whitelisting the IP’s and unsubscribing from webhooks altogether – email reporting is still nonfunctional

    I have to revise my previous comment. Reporting has returned after disabling webhooks, though it’s taken time to populate. For now that seems to be a functional workaround until the issue with webhooks can be solved.
