Getting 403 Error in saving settings of YARPP

  • I’ve been using YARPP in my WordPress site. When I was trying to save settings of YARPP, soon after I clicked on the “Save changes” button I got 403 Error. This happens whenever I clicked on “Save changes” button even without changing any items.
    WAF is not activated in my server which means this request does not seem to be blocked due to the security issue.
    Could anyone please help me find what is wrong and fix the issue?

    Hi @yoshinobufujiki are you running the latest version of YARPP i.e. 5.24.0 or higher?

    Thank you for your quick reply. I updated the plugin to version 5.24.0 and try saving changes, but I got the same error. I could not find what is wrong..

    hey @yoshinobufujiki, could you mind provide the URL YARPP is sending you to? (I’m NOT asking for admin access, just the URL where you’re sent. We won’t be able to log in, but I’m guessing there might be some weird redirect issue going on).

    Probably providing us with the list of other plugins that’re running would help too. Here’s how:
    To send WordPress generic debug info:
    1. on WordPress 5.1 and earlier, install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin; on WordPress 5.2 and later skip this
    2. Go to the WordPress admin dashboard
    3. under “Tools”
    4. click “Site Health”
    5. click “Info” tab
    6. click “Copy info to clipboard”
    7. paste it

    Hi @yoshinobufujiki

    We suspect that this could also be a conflict with another plugin that you have installed. In order to narrow down and identify the potential conflict, would it be possible for you to disable one plugin at a time and retry trying to save YARPP settings?

    Alternatively, if you’re able to give us admin access, that would be the quickest for us to get to the bottom of this — jay at yarpp dot com
