I’m using the javascript Plupload library to upload large files in chunks, which works well except for large files Wordfence blocks one or more of the chunks and returns a 403 “A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site” HTML page in the AJAX reponse.

I’ve checked the Live Traffic and this isn’t appearing at all, so I’m not sure how to find out what is going to precisely, or whitelist it.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi @riklewis,

Can you try this method to whitelist this library?

    1. Go to Wordfence -> Firewall -> Manage WAF
    2. Change the Firewall Status to Learning Mode
    3. Save changes

    For example: https://i.imgur.com/WO56bi7.png

Once you’re able to upload, change the firewall status back to Enabled.

    Hi @riklewis,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
