Is it only happening when adding IPs where a country does not appear above the IP address after they are blocked, or does it periodically happen on all IPs in your block list? (And when it happens, are all of the IPs missing their flag icons, or is it just the latest one that is blocked?)

I saw something similar a long time ago, but haven’t seen it myself for quite a while. It might be only certain IPs that don’t have country data yet.

Im currently unable to even key in any IPs.

Each time i click on the blocked IPs tab, it loads for 3 secs and subsequently redirects me to the 404 page mentioned earlier.

Ah, ok — that is different from what I had seen before. I had only seen the 404’s in Chrome or Firefox’s development tools. They should never open in the main window without any interaction.

If you disable other plugins temporarily and switch to a default theme like “twentyfifteen”, are you able to stay on the page without this happening? (The theme shouldn’t affect the admin pages, but some can.)

Also, if that does not help — which browser are you using, and do you have any browser extensions installed?

    Hi Matt,

    thanks for your prompt reply.

I think it was a firefox issue! I tried logging in with safari and it worked fine!

Even though im not quite sure why it does what it did on firefox but thanks anyway!

It’s good that it’s working in Safari, but I’m not having trouble with Firefox here — just to be safe, you might want to check if you have any unusual add-ons showing up within Firefox.

From the menu button, choose Add-Ons, and check through the extensions, plugins, etc. just to make sure you recognize anything that is installed. (There are some common ones that come with other software like Office, Adobe Reader, etc.)

It could be a valid extension causing trouble, or it could be something your antivirus software does, but it’s possible it’s a sign of malicious software on your computer itself, so it doesn’t hurt to check.
