getmypid() causing entire website to crash

I am facing the same issue raised by @metalinedev a couple of months back. My host does not support the getmypid() function due to hightened security.

How in the heck do you find the guidprovider.php file in order to implement the fix the others have identified? I feel like I’m going around in circles and I really need to get this fixed ASAP.
