get_delete_post_link not working when dashboard access disabled

When I use get_delete_link() in my template it will not work for users that are affected by the “Disable dashboard access for non-admin users” option. So users with the Editor role can not delete posts from the front end using those links. All that happens when they click it is that they are redirected to the home page
