• Hi, I have developed a wp site locally with MAMP and applying the theme Hueman. After trying to migrate the site to a hosting server with WP Clone I have run into problems.
It all started when trying to restore the backup file created by WP Clone on the remote server. I then got this message:

“The plugin encountered an error while downloading the zip file, the following error message was returned:
Error Message : A valid URL was not specified. ”In Swedish: En giltig URL har inte angivits.”
Temporary files created in /storage/content/72/121772/hkf.ramain.se/public_html/wp-content/wpclone-temp will be deleted.”

I tried the procedure a second time after reinstalling av fresh copy of WP 3.8 on the remote server and also created a new database. But with the same negative result.

But now the problem is I can no longer login to my local wp site. When running MAMP locally and writing “localserver” in browser URL-window, the homepage appears and all looks ok. But when writing localserver/wp-admin” I get this message and the Admin panel does NOT show up:

“Strict Standards: Declaration of PageNavi_Options_Page::validate() should be compatible with scbAdminPage::validate($new_data, $old_data) in /Users/andersnisses/Documents/Hemsidor/WP_hbgkonst/wp-content/plugins/wp-pagenavi/wp-pagenavi.php on line 40

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /Users/andersnisses/Documents/Hemsidor/WP_hbgkonst/wp-content/plugins/wp-pagenavi/wp-pagenavi.php:40) in /Users/andersnisses/Documents/Hemsidor/WP_hbgkonst/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 896″

    Please, can somebody help?!!

  • You are one of at least three posters since WP3.8, using MAMP and WP Clone I have seen with similar issue(s). I advise that there must be an issue there.

That said, one does not need WP Clone to take a site from local to web.

You need the files moved to host, and the export of the db. Then see:
Moving WordPress. I suggest doing it the right way. Manually.
