Get Social Media Menu Icons to Open in New Tab

Hi Jeremiah,

Sure, so when you go to Customize > Menus, open your social menu. Then click one of your social links to open the panel where you typed in the title and URL for that link.

Just below the URL, you’ll have a box you can check to make that link open in a new window/tab:

Repeat that for your other links and save the changes.

Thanks for the help. I don’t seem to have that check box…but I do have another text entry for Title Attributes.

Hmm, it should be right above Title Attribute.

Try going to Appearance > Menus. If you click on a menu item and you don’t see the “new tab” checkbox, look for Screen Options at the top right and check the Link Target box.

Then you should have the option to set your links to open in a new tab:
