Get Smaller Image Size

This a great plugin, but I was wondering how to use the smaller size images that WordPress automatically creates instead of the full size ones. In the settings page I set the image size to 300×300 and the image CSS class to size-medium, but the posted image is still the big one. Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks.
