Get rid of title and tagline

#site-title, #site-description { display: none; }

Thanks so much – UM, where does it go though? I tried a couple of places, the first time that line of html just appeared on the page, the second time it got rid of my whole page!
I am working in the header.php file, but can’t see the spot it is meant to go?

I guess it would go in here somewhere…….:

Download a Custom CSS plugin and put Alchymyth’s recommended CSS within the area allocated by that plugin (in the dashboard).
