Get Rid of New Widgets

  • The new WIDGET feature in WordPress is HORRIBLE. I have to install classic widget plugin in every site I build and manage. The old widget manager was fantastic and easy to use one page display. New one we can’t even work with.

    I appreciate your frustration, I’m sorry it’s not something that works for you. There isn’t really a question here, can we acknowledge your frustration and close the ticket?

    NO! DO NOT CLOSE THIS CASE! Here’s a question:

    HOW do we get rid of widgets that are force-fed us with this new widget manager!

    With this manager, we loose basic control of our website. WordPress has gone down hill with new widgets.

    Again, in case you missed it — how do we get rid of the widgets that are forced on us and select widgets that we do want to have?

    Yes, at LEAST give users the option to revert.

    Same problem for me ! This new feature have broken access to all my widgets on footer!!
