Get rid of Category Title using wp list categories ????

There’s been a couple of posts about this but no answer that works –

I’m trying to get rid of the title “Categories” from my sidebar, and I’m using WP 2.6. Tried editing sidebar.php code (this in particular:
?php wp_list_categories(‘show_count=1&title_li=<h2>Categories</h2>’); ?)

-but nothing affects it. In the Widgets, I was able to remove all the titles (Pages, Meta, etc) from the the sidebar info by adding a space into the Title window in the edit widget boxes, but “Categories” is being super stubborn. So where in the heck is the code that is keeping that stupid title there?

I KNOW there must be other peeps who don’t want the title “Categories” in their sidebar, for heaven’s sake, how’d you git rid of the durn thing?
