Get metadata and thumbnail image from page by passing it a URL?

I was wondering if it was possible to use this plugin to scrape and display data from an external URL on my website. I would pass it a URL and it would scrape the page for a title, description, and thumbnail image and display it in a post on my site. Is this possible to do using this plugin?
